Hello everyone. I'm researching my O'Neill family who emigrated to Australia in 1844 and originally settled in the Branxton area of the Hunter Valley. Various branches of this family moved north to Tamworth, Gunnedah, Quirindi & Moree. I am hoping to put all my research into a booklet form one day, and would appreciate any input from anywhere!
Patrick Joseph O'Neill married Christina Janet Pat(t)erson at Keepit NSW in 1884 - am currently concentrating on this line of the family. I've noticed a couple of other people mention the Paterson and Loch families.
Hope to hear from someone!
Many thanks, Cathy

My grandfather's sister Jeannie Bell lived in Inverell and then Tamworth having left Ireland abou a hundred years ago. She married and became Mrs Ernie Reid and her husband was disabled fighting in WW1. Her son, also Ernie, was a Japanese POW in WW2 and her grandson Bobbie Reid or his family is possibly still living in Tamworth. If anyone has any information, please email me.

I am looking for John William Taylor...my grandfather. He would be aged between 70 - 80 years
I know....
He was living in Tamworth in the early 1950's and worked at the Commercial Banking Company.
Was friends with Barry Alldis from 2TM radio.
Was later to become a pilot.
Married a Shirley Vercoe who I am lead to believe was a model.
His father was a policeman in Katoomba at some stage.
He may have lived in Sydney and somewhere in Queensland.
My mother was born in 1954 in Sydney.
I am lead to believe that he knew about the pregnacy but was warned off by a relative?
If anyone could help with any information it would be greatly appreciated.
He may wish to leave these things in the past, if that is the case I will respect his wishes; I am just trying to find my mother some answers that I feel could bring some form of comfort.

I am a direct descendant of the Loch and Reardon/Riordan familes who were Bounty immigrants. The Loch dynasty in Australia was started by Thomas Loch and Christina Duncan. Thomas was the overseer at Goonoo Goonoo. Denis Riordan and Honorah ( Morry ) Flynn settled in Sydney originally but then moved to the region to The Rockgidgele Station just outside Quirindi. Their daughter Honorah Riordan married James Loch at Burburgate, Carroll.
